NEWS
Health Net and LIBERTY Dental Plan commissioned a report to review the barriers to utilization in the State’s Denti-Cal program and to identify real solutions for effective change.
The report is titled “Without Change It’s The Same Old Drill: Improving Access to Denti-Cal Services for California Children Through Dentist Participation” and was conducted by Dr. Barbara Aved, PhD, MBA, President of Aved Associates. Aved Associates have conducted studies for clients including the CA Department of Health Services, First 5 California and the California Dental Association. Also contributing analyses on Denti-Cal provider and claims data was Dr. Ronald Inge, Executive Director of the Institute of Oral Health and Dental Director and VP of Washington Dental Service.
Our goal is to add to the conversation and provide useful information that can be part of the fact base as policy decisions are made to improve oral health for low-income folks through enhanced access, availability and appropriate, quality care.
